Making Mistakes

Mistakes will be made. Some of them will be small, others will be big.
Once a mistake is made you usually have a point where you can do something about it to make it better or worse. If the mistake gets you in a funk and shuts you down, it can make the situation worse. If you resolve the issue or put the mistake behind you, you can jump back quickly and overcome any damage the mistake caused.
I made a mistake last week and it almost ruined my day. For my next meeting I was in such a bad mood that my friend noticed it. After the meeting she told me that I just needed to push the mistake out of my mind, since the issue at hand was being resolved, so I could have a successful rest of the day.
I did and ended up closing a bunch of deals in my subsequent meetings. The situation taught me a great lesson about dealing with making mistakes and how to overcome them.
